Museum Service
Eastbourne
Museum Service is run by Eastbourne Borough Council, its purpose
being to preserve and interpret material relating to the history
of Eastbourne and its surrounding area. The Service is responsible
for the Eastbourne Local History Museum (currently housed in the
Towner Art Gallery Building) as well as the curatorial care of
the collections owned by the Trusts of the Sussex Combined Services
Museum, The Royal Sussex Regiment Museum and The Queen's Royal
Hussars Museum. Its aim is to present this material in an informative,
innovative and educational manner to the widest audience.
