Eastbourne Dishes Up Foodie Delights this Father�s Day!
Eastbourne is awash with fantastic foodie events this Father�s Day, from sparkling wine specials to food festivals and markets, the way to a Dad�s heart this June is through his stomach and only in the UK�s sunniest resort!
The Flint Barns at the picturesque Rathfinny Wine Estate nestled into the South Downs will host a �Father�s Day lunch in a Vineyard� with home cooked food made from locally sourced ingredients and a chance to take dads on a stroll round the beautiful Rathfinny Trail before or after lunch.



Both ends of Eastbourne�s seafront are home to deliciously fantastic events perfect for a Father�s Day outing. At Princes Park find Eastbourne Feastival from 18-19 June, a celebration of international foods, music and culture in a beautiful seaside location. Wander down to Eastbourne Pier to discover more exotic foods and lots more at the Seafront World Market from 16-19 June.



The Redoubt Fortress is offering free entry to Dads this Father�s Day (with a full paying child or grown-up child), making it the perfect opportunity to treat history-loving dads. Explore two new WW1 exhibitions, �For Hearth, Home and Honour?� and �Forgotten Wrecks of the First World War�, grab a coffee from the vintage Outpost Caf� and soak up the sun in the fortress grounds.



Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said �They say food is the way to a man�s heart, so why not show your Dad some love this Father�s Day by heading to Eastbourne and tucking into one of the many fabulous foodie events on offer? We have sparkling wines, international delicacies and free entry to Eastbourne�s 200 year old fortress all on offer, and this is just for starters; Eastbourne is truly the perfect family destination this Father�s Day!�



Another sparkling way to get dads into the great outdoors is on a Fizz on Foot Father�s Day special tour, complete with a guided walk across the South Downs and through historic Alfriston Village, a vineyard with 4 wine tastings, a buffet lunch and coffee at Charleston Farmhouse.



Bateman�s 17th Century country house in nearby Burwash, former home of literary icon Rudyard Kipling is doing Father�s Day Tea in its own unique way; with hot mini Yorkshire puddings, posh fish-finger rolls and home-made mini pasties. Whilst the beautiful Sheffield Park in nearby Uckfield is hosting a Father�s Day BBQ and extending the garden�s opening hours until 9pm for midsummer evening wanderings.



For dads who like art and culture head to Towner Art Gallery out and discover the gallery�s current free exhibition, �Recording Britain�, which documents the changing landscape of Britain during the Second World War through a series of 49 watercolour paintings.



Knockhatch Adventure Park makes the perfect location for families with little ones, as Dads go free on 19 June and can also have a free go at Clay Shooting. Dads of an older generation can enjoy a Traditional Afternoon Concert at Eastbourne�s seafront Bandstand listening to traditional concert band music from The Cholsey Silver Band.
