Motoring Spectacular Drives into 2008 More than 25,000 visitors are expected to descend on Eastbourne seafront as Magnificent Motors, one of the South Coast's biggest FREE motoring festivals, returns from 3-4 May 2008. Motoring enthusiasts will be able to view over 500 classic and vintage cars, motorbikes, buses, steam traction engines and commercial and military vehicles as they park up on Eastbourne's elegant promenade. A vintage vehicle cavalcade will take place on both Saturday and Sunday next year with classic cars parading along the entire length of the seafront celebrating the automotives of yesteryear. Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said "Magnificent Motors is a key event that marks the beginning of Eastbourne's busy season and every year it continues to get bigger. It's a rare opportunity to see the automobile timeline laid out in front of you, with a French market, stalls and rides to keep everyone entertained." This year the event takes place over the May Bank Holiday weekend with the French Market returning to bring a continental flavour with authentic baguettes, cheeses and wines on offer. Magnificent Motors guarantees a packed weekend for 2008 with plenty of things to do. Keep 3-4 May free and go along to admire classic cars, enjoy cool refreshments in the beer tent and jump aboard a funfair ride.
