Puncher Visits Eastbourne At Easter Eastbournes Affiliated Naval vessel, HMS Puncher, will be visiting Eastbourne this Easter. The Mayor of Eastbourne will board in Brighton before being taken to sea and seeing the wonderful coastline of Sussex on route to Eastbourne. The Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Barbara Goodall, says, Eastbourne has had a long running connection with the armed forces and it is excellent that they take the time out to visit Eastbourne. This weekend will be a wonderful opportunity for the residents of Eastbourne to have a look at a working naval training ship. HMS Puncher is due to arrive in Eastbourne just after midday on Sunday 27th March and will open its doors to the public on Bank Holiday Monday from 10.00 to 13.00 and again from 13.30 to 16.00. The Eastbourne Lifeboat will leave the Sovereign Harbour on Sunday morning and will meet HMS Puncher along the coast between the Pier and Beachy Head. It will then escort it back to the Harbour. |
