The concerts, which began in 1935, have become an annual celebration and usually attract around 4,000 people, all enjoying the festive atmosphere with music, dancing and hot mulled wine. Performing on Christmas Day, Eastbourne Silver Band will begin with traditional Christmas music from 10.45am to 12.15pm, and on Boxing Day Sounds Easy perform Christmas hits from 11am to 12.30pm for all ages to dance along to. Councillor David Elkin, Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism said There is always such a great atmosphere at the Bandstand on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, from traditional carols to music that will really get you dancing. This is a wonderful way for residents to celebrate together and an added bonus for all of the visitors who have chosen Eastbourne for their Christmas holiday. The Bandstand will be open 11am to 12.30pm both days.
