The lucky couple have been presented with VIP tickets to meet the Red Arrows during the team�s visit to Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow. The Eastbourne couple will be meeting the Red Arrows team on Saturday 14th August, just as the Red Arrows enjoy their own Ruby anniversary, which celebrates the team�s 40th display season. The couple who married in Eastbourne in 1964 are huge airshow fans, having visited airshows all around the country and always attend Airbourne. The Red Arrows are celebrating their 40th display season this year and following news of their special visit to Eastbourne to meet fans, May Botting wrote to Eastbourne Borough Council asking if it would be possible for her husband, Richard, to meet the team as a special anniversary treat. May Botting said �Richard is such a caring man and always puts other people first, so I thought it was time he could take the front seat for a change. It seems like only yesterday we were at the church and we still enjoy each other�s company just as much.� �I am delighted to have arranged this prize for him. When I originally wrote to the Council, I never expected this to happen. This will be a highlight of our anniversary year.� Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin said �I would like to thank the Red Arrows for arranging this meeting and coming to Eastbourne to meet the fans. We are very honoured to have been chosen for this visit and are delighted to be welcoming the team to the biggest free airshow in the South.� The Red Arrows visit Eastbourne on Saturday 14th August during the afternoon and will be signing autographs at the arena, RAF Exhibition and also at children�s entertainment area, the Red Arrows Playzone.
