Worlds Most Dangerous Race at Go Fast! Speed Days
The Worlds best downhill racers and freeriders have signed up to compete at Eastbournes newest, most exciting FREE event when Go Fast! Speed Days return to Beachy Head on an all new super fast road, including world number one Scoot Smith.
Next week some of the worlds boldest gravity sportsmen will descend on the fast flowing hills of Beachy Head to compete in the second ever UK leg of the World Downhill Skateboarding Championships. World number two downhill skateboarder Mischo Erban and number two street luge Yvon Labarthe are geared up to reach speeds of up to 60mph, joined by 2006 world number one David Dean from the US whos racing at Eastbourne for the first time, as they whizz around sharp bends and high speed straights in the International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) World Cup event.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said This fantastic new event is brilliant for Eastbourne and offers a great new way of attracting new and younger visitors into the town. After holding a very successful first year in 2007, Go Fast! Speed Days promise to be even better for 2008 as the event now takes place over three days, with the opportunity for spectators to try their hand at the exhilarating extreme sport too!

Go Fast! Speed Days is completely FREE to spectators and takes place from 12-14 September 2008. Set in the Sussex countryside, competitors will be put through their paces in five categories including Downhill Skateboard, Classic Luge, Street Luge, Downhill In-Line and Gravity Bike.

Director of Go Fast Sports UK, Kris Yule said Go Fast! Speed Days promises to be a spectacular event offering a great setting for the worlds top riders as well as local novices wanting a taste of the extreme. The newly resurfaced Beachy Head road will promise super fast speeds for those taking part plus breathtaking action for those cheering competitors from the sidelines!

This year brand new evening floodlit free ride sessions will take place on Friday until 11pm and Saturday until 8pm offering spectators the chance to have a go at the worlds most dangerous gravity sports race, as they speed down the hill from Beachy Head Pub towards Birling Gap.

Plus a brand new bespoke PA system will provide up to the minute information on all riders and entertainment to the crowds on the hill.

With plenty of vantage points for spectators at Beachy Head offering brilliant views of a World Cup event in action, Go Fast! Speed Days makes a unique weekend away.
