The victory will bring relief to manager Brian Dennis and his team who have not been getting their just desserts for some attractive football in recent games. But while United moved up to put pressure on the County League leaders, other teams were forced to put their feet up after continuous rain produced waterlogged pitches. Eastbourne Borough's home game against Fisher Athletic, Eastbourne Town and Hailsham Town were all victims of the weather. Borough will be hoping to be back in action on Tuesday night when Garry Wilson returns to his old club Hastings, to do battle in the Sussex Senior Cup at the Pilot Field.
