Hospitality Sector Back Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team Hospitality Sector Back Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team HOSPITALITY SECTOR BACK BEACHY HEAD The Eastbourne Hospitality Association is lending its support to the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. It was started back in August 2004 and volunteers come from churches all over the area. The teams patrol Beachy Head 365 days a year and are on call 24 hours a day. They respond to calls from the Police, HM Coastguard, and members of the public. In the last 2 years they have dealt with over 550 searches and helped over 200 people. The EHA, which represents local hotels, guesthouses, self-catering apartments, restaurants and attractions in the town, has chosen to sponsor a chaplain for a year. Chairman Ian Millar says, �The Beachy Head Chaplaincy team is funded purely by voluntary donations. We have now issued all their contact details to our members who can alert them if they are concerned about a guest. We are always keen to support local initiatives. |
